A Message from the principal

Dear Great River Christian School community,

It is with gratitude that I introduce myself as the Interim Administrator at Great River Christian School.  I am honored to have been asked to lead our school.  GRCS has a rich history of providing students with strong academics presented within a biblical worldview.  We have an amazing staff of Christian educators and support personnel.  Our mission is to “prepare students for a life of Christian discipleship, leadership, and service”.  We endeavor to follow that mission through partnering with parents to provide a safe environment that is challenging academically while engaging students and having fun learning.

Before joining GRCS last school year as the K/1st teacher, I taught in various positions in several states and held a few different roles in church ministry.  I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and minor in Bible from Northwestern College-St. Paul, MN.  This is my 22nd year in education.  In 2019 I received my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I have taught all elementary grade levels and STEM at some point in my career.  I have also taught in all the educational settings- homeschool, charter, public, and private Christian schools.

I am also a parent.  Though my boys are now grown, I understand how every parent desires the best for their child.  I look forward to collaborating with you as we come alongside you in your journey to parent and disciple your children in the Lord.
